Prison Art

[Logan Airport Pilot Strike]

Description: Story #929. Story about the 24 hour pilot strike threatened by the International Federation of Air Line Pilots Associations (IFALPA) for June 19th 1972 and how this will affect air traffic at Logan Airport. Pilots concerned about hijacking and want governments around the world to do more about the issue. Footage includes b-roll of Logan airport, people waiting for planes, planes on the runway, and interview cutaways. Interview with a man from Massport about how the airport will handle the upcoming pilot strike, his feelings about the strike and the safety concerns behind it, and suggestions for passengers who have flights scheduled that day. Logan Airport Pilots Strike

Description: Story #943. Story about the international 24 hour pilot strike over hijacking concerns, and how this strike has affected travel at Logan Airport. Footage includes interviews with pilots, reporter voice over, b-roll of flight attendants updating cancellation boards, empty seating areas, closed check-in counters, parked planes, people boarding planes and checking into flights with carriers that are still operating. Riot - Black Stone Park

Description: Story #1200. Silent footage of the neighborhood around Blackstone Park after several days of riots. The riots began at the annual Puerto Rican Festival in Blackstone Park when the police came in to stop a fight and dozens of people were injured and arrested. Footage includes a building on fire at night, damaged storefronts, the interior of looted stores, police in the street, a woman being interviewed by the police in her damaged apartment, and men boarding up windows.
