He blames Governor Sargent and Senators Ted Kennedy and Ed Brooke, and also comments on the flip of Mayor Kevin White's support. Louise Day Hicks speaks against the Racial Imbalance Law. State Rep. Royal Bolling, Sr. speaks against the procedure of having separate hearings for proponents and opponents, and gets in an argument with the Committee Chairman. Kevin White speaks in favor of integration, but against forced busing. B-roll of audience at the hearing. Mix of sound and silent.

Sunday Open House - Berklee Performance Center, pt. 1

Description: Footage from the opening night of the Berklee Performance Center. B-roll of patrons entering the Center and mingling in the lobby, tickets being taken, programs being handed out, and the audience seated in the auditorium. Michael Dukakis opening speech, followed by a speech by a representative from the Berklee Performance Center introducing the night's Jazz program. More footage of both speeches. Part of one of the Jazz performances, and a reading about drums, Africa, and slavery while a man plays bongo drums. Picture is shaky and unsteady throughout. The problem appears to be printed in. Description: Governor Sargent speaks at Women's Lib hearing, promising to work to end discrimination against women in the workforce. Woman addresses hearing, explaining pay discrimination she witnessed and experiences at the Boston Redevelopment Authority before she quit and began working at the Municipal Women's Project.
