Sports - Cronin

Description: Leader: P1 Spts Cronin #6837 12/20/73; Joe Cronin, president of the American Baseball League, press conference on a conflict between baseball clubs about the rules around signing a manager. The Detroit Tigers wanted to sign Ralph Houk to a managerial contract and the New York Yankees wanted to sign Dick Williams. After listening to testimony from all involved parties Cronin ruled that the Tigers contract was ok, but the Yankee's contract violated the rules.
