Description:
Computer medicine lab at Beth Israel Hospital. Demonstration of test program asking questions on screen in French or Spanish of patient visiting clinic for certain medical problems. Patient would answer via keyboard. If no complications, computer issues prescription appropriate for diagnosis. Printout of examples of computer generated dialogue. Inside computer room -- CPUs labelled “Sherlock” and “Mycroft,” tapes on shelves, teletype-like printer. Outside main entrance to hospital.
