Description: A reporter interviews Charles Prater (Boston resident) on Beacon Street after Prater's family was attacked in their car, and his infant son injured, by a group of young white men who had been driving recklessly. The Prater family stands in and around the ambulance. Charles Prater is shown in the ambulance while paramedics tend to his son. Jennifer McLogan (WBZ reporter) reports that police chased a green Chevrolet Malibu through the Back Bay at speeds up to 95 m.p.h. and arrested the occupants on charges including assault and battery with a deadly weapon. 1:00:00: Visual: Bystanders and members of the media on Beacon Street watch as Karen Prater, holding her infant son, walks toward a waiting ambulance. The sound of a wailing child is audible. Inside of the ambulance, Charles Prater holds his head in his hands. A young African American girl, Resa Prater, stands crying. A reporter with a microphone stands at the door of the ambulance asking, "What happened?" An ambulance attendant holds the infant, Charles, Jr., on his lap. Charles Prater exits the ambulance. 1:00:43: V: Charles Prater talks to a reporter. He says that some men in a green Chevrolet were driving recklessly; that he beeped his horn at them; that his children were in his car with him. Shot of the smashed window of a car. Charles Prater says that they broke his car mirror first; that he continued to beep his horn for assistance; that they broke the windows of his car; that his one-month old child has been injured by the broken glass. Shots of car with smashed windows. Charles Prater says that he has never seen the men before today; that four or five young white men were beating on his car and threatening to kill him. 1:01:17: V: A white man talks to a reporter. The white man says that the incident happened very quickly; that the young white men jumped back into their car and sped away. 1:01:29: V: Jennifer McLogan (WBZ reporter) reports that police chased a green Chevrolet Malibu through the Back Bay at speeds up to 95 m.p.h.; that the car crashed to a halt on Charles Bank East; that the occupants were arrested on charges including assault and battery with a deadly weapon.
