Jury for CIA recruitment protest trial gets sworn in. Other court scenes. Footage of the 1986 protest. Assistant District Attorney Diane Fernauld makes the prosecution's case. Defense attorney Leonard Weinglass and UMass Amherst student Jennifer Johnston make opening arguments for the defense, accusing both the CIA and UMass Amherst of committing crimes, which the defendants were only trying to prevent. Judge Richard Conan allows defense witness to testify as to the crimes of the CIA, but has yet to decide if the jury will be allowed to consider this testimony.
