State Sen. George Rogers of New Bedford convicted of corruption (bribery and conspiracy via fraudulent $5000 consulting contract in vocational education scandal) in Suffolk Superior Court. Defense attorney Sullivan mobbed by press. Rogers fainted in court and is wheeled out on stretcher. Prosecutor Stephen Delinsky says sentence is fair.
